There are also numerous work opportunities within the department. Undergraduates at any level are encouraged to become involved in ongoing research projects with faculty members. One semester of undergraduate research, usually in the junior or senior year, is required for all chemistry majors. In addition, students can arrange to work with faculty for financial compensation. As part of the experience, students are given hands-on training in the safe and effective use of state-of-the-art research techniques. Research training is invaluable to students preparing for industrial careers as well as for those planning to attend graduate or medical school. If you are interested in working with a particular member of Faculty, please visit them directly.
In addition to our scholarship and research opportunities, several other service positions (e.g. storeroom attendant, teaching assistants for seniors) are available. To apply for any open positions within the Chemistry Department, please visit Hire OSU Grads.
